How much does a pool cost?
Pool costs vary widely by location. A pool in California may be priced differently than one in New York. The best approach is to get three bids from licensed pool builders in your area. Some builders offer basic pools at a fixed price and the price then increases as the homeowner adds amenities.

Can you cool off a pool?

Yes; There are heat / chill heat pumps and separate chiller units available.

How long before I have to re-plaster?
Depends greatly on the material used, how the chemicals are maintained, and the company that plasters the pool.  Anywhere from 5 – 20 years is common.  Be sure to understand the warranty and what it includes (material and/or labor.)

Are there pool alarms available?
There are many different safety features and alarms available; however, be sure to understand the limitations of the devices.  Nothing can be a substitute for proper supervision.

Do solar blankets work?
Yes! If they have good exposure to the sun during the day, they will raise the temperature of the water 10 – 15 degrees over a few days.  They also insulate the pool and keep the heat in over night.  By eliminating evaporation, they also save on chemicals and water.  Solar blankets definitely work in most situations—they are most successful in sunny environments in a mild climate.  Solar blankets are made of lightweight bubble-type plastic material, which floats on the water surface.  They retain heat and form an insulating layer on top of the water.  Poor water balance can deteriorate solar covers.

Do you carry the drops that make the water turn red when someone pees in the pool?
For 30 years, we have offered a $100 reward to the person that can produce that product. To our knowledge, it does not exist.  When the customer swears that Aunt Sue had it in her pool, we tell the customer that Aunt Sue lied to all the kids to keep them from peeing in the pool.  We also suggest that they go ahead and perpetuate the lie to the next generation!  Hey, if it works....

Are prices better in winter?
Not usually. We're fortunate to have a full build schedule that keeps us busy year round. It is, however, a better time to construct a pool in the sense that the weather and time frame is more stable and the sense of urgency isn't as intense.

How do I calculate my pool volume?

Both are vinyl liners but the difference is overlap liners fold over the top of the wall and are held in place by coping and metal rods.
